MSC Cruises is updating its winter 2027-28 season, expanding deployment in the Western Mediterranean and South Caribbean.
According to a press release, MSC World Europa will continue to offer cruises in the Western Mediterranean instead of sailing the Middle East as originally planned.
While the company did not cite any specific reason for the revised program, the change comes amid ongoing security concerns in the region.
MSC World Europa will operate week-long itineraries with multiple embarkation ports, visiting destinations including Barcelona (Spain), Marseille (France), Genoa (Italy), Civitavecchia (Italy), Messina (Italy) and Valletta (Malta).
Meanwhile, MSC World Asia will be based in the South Caribbean, operating seven- and 14-night sailings with embarkation in Fort-de-France (Martinique), Pointe-à-Pitre (Guadeloupe), and Bridgetown (Barbados). Destinations include Castries (Saint Lucia), St. George's (Grenada), Philipsburg (St. Maarten), St. John's (Antigua and Barbuda), Basseterre (Saint Kitts and Nevis), Roseau (Dominica), and Kingstown (Saint Vincent and the Grenadines).
MSC said it is contacting guests booked on MSC World Europa's Middle East voyages for winter 2027-28, as well as their travel partners, to explain their options. Travelers can move their booking to another sailing or request a full refund.
Guests booked on MSC World Asia in the Mediterranean or MSC Meraviglia in the South Caribbean will have their bookings updated and will be contacted directly regarding individual changes.
