A wellness retreat aboard Orient Express Corinthian's Oct. 12 trans-Atlantic crossing from Lisbon to Barbados is designed as a "restorative pause conducive to calm and renewal."
Ocean Rebirth builds on the partnership between Orient Express Sailing Yachts and Guerlain, behind the spa on the world's largest sailing yacht.
The 14-night crossing will stop at Ponta Delgada in the Azores, where it's also possible to embark Oct. 15 for an 11-night trip.
Ocean Rebirth is rooted in Guerlain's holistic vision of well-being, built around four pillars: nutrition, movement, mindfulness and sleep. This approach places prevention at the heart of well-being, supporting vitality, preserving balance and cultivating longevity. A pre-journey assessment enables a tailored program to be designed for each guest, adapted throughout the crossing to their needs, pace and personal experience.
Individual consultations, small-group workshops and guided sessions will shape the experience. Nutrition is an integral part of this approach and personally adapted to each guest.
At the heart of the program is LongeviSkin, Guerlain's device that combines seven aesthetic technologies for the first time, including LED, plasma and radiofrequency. It is complemented by Technogym check-up assessments, pressotherapy, LED masks and Theragun recovery devices.
Throughout the sea days, five specialists from the Guerlain Wellness Expert Committee will accompany guests through complementary experiences designed to work in synergy across body and mind. These include breathwork and meditation, crystal bowl sound baths, movement and mobility, deep-tissue massages, Guerlain treatments and regenerative nutrition.
Personalised consultations, master classes and the signature Longevity Breakfast have been designed by Déborah Passuti, a naturopath and Buchinger Wilhelmi ambassador. Each dish has been created by Orient Express Sailing Yachts Culinary Director Yannick Alléno, who holds more Michelin stars than anyone else in the world.
Other experts include Amélie Demange, international director of aesthetic creation for Guerlain Spas, who will focus on holistic beauty, along with Annabelle Deridder, who'll provide treatments and master classes on makeup and facial and body self-massage.
Slav Marinov, a renowned expert in sports massage and deep-tissue techniques, will focus on recovery and deep-tissue massage, adapting the intensity and techniques to each guest. And Charles Ferreux, who performed classical ballet with several international companies, is now a fitness coach who'll provide sessions on balance, posture and movement.
