(1:01 p.m. EDT) — Margaritaville at Sea has named artist Zac Brown as the official godfather of the new Margaritaville at Sea Beachcomber.
Brown will christen the ship in Miami on Jan. 9, 2027, and will perform for guests before the Beachcomber departs on its inaugural sailing.
"Zac has become an important part of the Margaritaville at Sea family, and naming him Godfather of Beachcomber is a natural next step in a partnership that continues to grow," said Christopher Ivy, chief executive officer of Margaritaville at Sea.
"He shares our belief that great music, memorable experiences and bringing people together can turn a vacation into something much more. Zac has already put his own stamp on Beachcomber, and we couldn't imagine a better person to help us officially welcome her to the fleet."
The honorary role builds on a growing partnership between Brown and the cruise line. Brown helped create Beachcomber's Same Boat live music venue and Margaritaville at Sea is sponsoring Zac Brown Band's current Love & Fear U.S. Tour. Brown is also set to headline an exclusive concert in Nassau on Jan. 28, 2027, when Beachcomber, Islander and Paradise come together for the first time.

"I'm really proud of what we've created together, and being named Godfather of Beachcomber is a true honor. I'm also really thankful for their support of the tour and for how this partnership has grown. Margaritaville at Sea's largest addition to the fleet, Beachcomber will offer four- to eight-night itineraries to the Eastern and Southern Caribbean starting January 2027, before repositioning to Galveston in October 2027.
