Rafael Rey Resigns as Peru's Minister of Transport and Communications

Rafael Rey has submitted his irrevocable resignation as Peru's Minister of Transport and Communications (MTC) due to health reasons. Rey was appointed by President Keiko Fujimori on July 28, 2026. The former minister also served in the Production and Defense portfolios during Alan García's second government (2006-2011). No timeline has been provided yet for the appointment of his successor.
