The updated operating schedule for the Integration Bridge, which connects Presidente Franco (Paraguay) with Foz de Yguazú (Brazil), has come into effect, with an extension of the hours enabled for the crossing of large ballast trucks.
According to the statement from the Paraguayan-Brazilian Mixed Commission of the second International Bridge over the Paraná River, cargo vehicles will be able to use the border crossing from 6:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
Likewise, transit for light vehicles and private cars has been enabled from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM, exclusively for residents of Ciudad del Este, Presidente Franco, and Hernandarias, in Alto Paraná, and Foz de Yguazú, in the Brazilian state of Paraná.
In line with the information provided, to make the crossing, both the driver and other occupants must present the Cross-Border Neighborhood Transit Document (TVF) and comply with the other requirements established in the Mercosur Agreement on Linked Border Localities.
The Mixed Commission also clarified that the dispatch of goods will not be permitted through this border crossing, except for those considered for subsistence according to the current agreement.
The transport of smaller loads, both for entry and exit in ballast, will continue to be enabled exclusively via the Integration Bridge from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The return with cargo must be made via the Friendship Bridge.
Meanwhile, International Urban Passenger Transport, on the Presidente Franco-Foz de Yguazú route, neighborhood modality, may optionally use the Integration Bridge for departure and return, from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, by presenting the TVF.
For their part, closed-circuit passenger services that do not have Ciudad del Este or Foz de Yguazú as their final destination will maintain transit exclusively via the Integration Bridge 24 hours a day.
International Regular Line Passenger Transport will also continue to use this border crossing exclusively 24 hours a day.
The Paraguayan-Brazilian Mixed Commission indicated that the other previously agreed operating modalities and conditions remain in force without modifications.
