The State Railway Company (EFE) informed the Commission for the Financial Market (CMF) that the state-owned company's board of directors decided to remove its general manager, José Solorza Estévez.
The civil engineer assumed the position in November 2022 and was part of the company during Eric Martin's tenure.
In a material event, EFE stated that "the board of directors agreed to terminate the employment contract of the general manager, Mr. José Solorza Estévez, effective from this date, September 15, 2026."
"This decision has already been communicated, and consequently, the termination of his employment contract has been recorded. The EFE board thanks Mr. José Solorza Estévez for his management in the company for almost four years," the document explained.
The state-owned company also reported that the board agreed to appoint Ricardo Montecino Leonard as interim general manager from the same September 15, assuming his duties immediately.
Additionally, the company notified that Solorza submitted his resignation from the position of vice president and director of EFE Servicios Logísticos Integrados S. A.
