Following our earlier customer advisory on the East Asia typhoon season, we would like to share a further update on the situation and the measures supporting your supply chains.
While operational conditions remain challenging, we are seeing gradual improvements in port performance and vessel flows as recovery efforts continue.
Together with our terminal partners, we are implementing a staged set of measures to manage cargo flows and enhance terminal fluidity, while continuing to assess their effectiveness as conditions evolve.
At the same time, we continue to support affected customers through direct engagement. Maersk representatives are in contact with customers to discuss available solutions and the most suitable options for their cargo.
We are also monitoring meteorological developments closely, as current information indicates that a typhoon may develop during week 39 (21–27 September). We continue to work with port operators to mitigate any potential impact on our customers.
Through PRISM Delivery Guarantee, Maersk applies network flexibility, alternative routings, and priority operational handling so that your containers are delivered within their committed delivery window. Beyond PRISM, we can assist with air freight and inland transportation alternatives for time-sensitive shipments, as well as flexible depot storage and warehousing services.
We will continue to monitor the situation closely and share updates as further information becomes available. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your Maersk representative on alternative routings or transport options, where relevant.
We appreciate your understanding and continued partnership.
