Over 200 technical-professional and higher education students from Chile and Bolivia participated in the discussion "Logistics Platforms and their Importance in International Trade," an event organized for the fifth consecutive year by Iquique Terminal Internacional (ITI) and Inacap.
The event brought together prominent specialists from the sector, including Claudia Moreno, Head of the Innovation and Services Department at ProChile; Miguel Valencia, National Director of the Logistics Area at Inacap; and Cristopher López, Operations Manager at ITI. The meeting was moderated by Patricio Salvo, General Manager of CargoTrans Schiappacasse.
During the discussion, key topics for the industry's development were addressed, such as logistics chain articulation, cargo traceability, the incorporation of artificial intelligence, the evolution of services, and the role of trade in the Andean market. The presentations generated great interest among attendees, who actively participated with questions and an exchange of ideas.
The Operations Manager of ITI, Cristopher López, highlighted that this initiative is part of the company's commitment to training new generations. "Within our sustainability strategy, supporting education and skill development is fundamental. We seek to bring students closer to the challenges and opportunities of the maritime-port, logistics, and international trade industry, contributing to their preparation for the working world," he stated.
"This discussion generates relevant learning experiences, addressing future topics with a critical and practical perspective. Furthermore, it demonstrates ITI's commitment to the development of its environment and to preparing the professionals that the industry will need in the coming years," said the National Director of the Logistics Area at Inacap, Miguel Valencia.
