Itata Route Begins Transition to Free Flow Electronic Toll Collection
The Itata Route will begin its transition from a traditional toll system to a free-flow model on August 14, which will progressively operate in the Bio Bio and Ñuble regions. The second concession, managed by Bosques del Itata, involves an investment of approximately USD 516 million in about 96 kilometers of road infrastructure. During the last quarter of 2026, the system will move towards exclusively electronic toll collection, initially maintaining manual booths to facilitate user adaptation.
