The General San Martín Port Terminal, located in the Department of Ica, will implement two STS gantry cranes and four RTG yard cranes, in accordance with its third stage of modernization and complementary investment, which will expand its operational capacity.
This investment will also make it possible to optimize service times and sustain the level of service required by projected demand. According to the Autoridad Portuaria Nacional (APN), these improvements will contribute to the development and competitiveness of the Peruvian port and those that are part of the national system.
In this process, the Ministerio de Transportes y Comunicaciones (MTC), through the Autoridad Portuaria Nacional (APN), participated by approving the Technical Construction Files (ETO) for the equipment of the third stage, as well as the complementary investment presented by the concessionaire, contributing to the development of modern and efficient port infrastructure.
This equipment, which Terminal Portuario de Paracas S.A. plans to incorporate in June 2027, has the corresponding environmental certification, granted through the Supporting Technical Report (ITS) from the Servicio Nacional de Certificación Ambiental para las Inversiones Sostenibles (Senace), on September 21, 2026.
