The Minister of Transport and Communications, Rafael Rey Rey, and his technical team met with the Peruvian Association of Maritime Agents to address measures aimed at improving their operations and meeting their main requirements.
Among the advancements, the authorization of specialized docks for receiving waste from merchant vessels in the port of Callao, among others, stands out.
During the meeting, the minister and the National Port Authority (APN) addressed the requirements raised by the sector's representatives and committed to working on concrete solutions, coordinating with his technical team the necessary actions to respond to their needs and facilitate the development of their activities.
These advancements are part of the MTC's work to identify the sector's needs and provide facilities that allow maritime agents to carry out their activities more efficiently, within the framework of current regulations.
The MTC, through the APN, will continue to promote spaces for dialogue and coordination with maritime and port operators, with the aim of addressing their requirements, improving processes, and contributing to a more competitive and dynamic sector.
