The strengths of Puerto Las Losas as a logistics and port hub in the Atacama Region were part of the conversations held by the company as it participated in the delegation at the Expo San Juan Minería in Argentina, which was led by Corproa and the Regional Government to promote a strategic agenda for logistics integration with the neighboring country.
The General Manager of Puerto Las Losas, Karen Pradenas, highlighted "that this mission not only strengthens binational integration but also opens concrete business opportunities for our clients and partners."
She added that "we see growing interest from Argentine mining and agro-industry in having reliable, close, and efficient logistics alternatives to international markets."
In this scenario, she pointed out that Puerto Las Losas is prepared to offer "a value proposition based on its proximity to the main productive corridors, operational flexibility, direct coordination with the regional logistics network, and a focus on tailored solutions for each client."
Pradenas affirmed that "our commitment is to continue advancing in infrastructure, connectivity, and strategic alliances that facilitate foreign trade and capture the potential of the bioceanic corridor."
The participation of Puerto Las Losas in the fair was part of the work promoted by the Atacama Logistics-Port Network, aimed at positioning the region as a key logistics hub for the bioceanic corridor, connecting mining and agro-industrial production from northwestern Argentina with Asia-Pacific markets.
During the mission, which also included the Head of Security and Environment of PLL, Giovanni Bonilla, meetings were held with authorities, mining companies, logistics operators, and investment organizations, with the aim of generating new commercial opportunities, strengthening strategic alliances, and presenting its value proposition as an efficient and competitive port solution.
Among the meetings, those held with authorities from the Government of San Juan and the investment agency of that province stood out, where the role of Atacama's ports as a natural gateway to Asia-Pacific for cargo from central and northeastern Argentina was emphasized. There were also meetings with businessmen, operators, and authorities from Catamarca and Fiambalá, interested in alternatives for the export of grains and agro-industrial products.
