Maersk increases heavy weight surcharge for Canadian exports to USD 600

Maersk announced a Heavy Weight Surcharge (HWE) for all containers exported from Canada (CA) to worldwide destinations, effective from 8th Aug 2026. The new tariff rate increases from USD 390 to USD 600 per container for both regulated and non-regulated countries. The surcharge applies to all container types via all port locations.
