PortCastelló welcomes the Maria Sibum with a rigid sail system to reduce emissions
PortCastelló recorded the call of the cargo ship Maria Sibum, equipped with an advanced wind-assisted propulsion system (WAPS) using two rigid suction sails. The Portuguese-flagged vessel, 89 meters long, allows an estimated 10% reduction in fuel consumption and polluting emissions. The operation, carried out at the Centenario dock with the Noatum Terminal Castellón S.A. terminal, demonstrates the Port Authority's commitment to environmental sustainability and compliance with European FuelEU Maritime regulations.
