MTC strengthens territorial dialogue on railway and road projects in Chancay
The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC), through the Office of Dialogue and Social Management, participated in an informative meeting to present the preliminary scope of the Lima–Barranca Railway and Chancay–Chancayllo Bypass projects. The Northern Railway Consortium reported that the railway project is in the profile study and feasibility evaluation stage, considering the Callao–Barranca section and a branch towards the Chancay district. Representatives of the Chacarilla Barrios Altos Peasant Association expressed concern about possible impacts on their agricultural lands.
