Santos Port Authority promotes lecture on mollusk control

The Santos Port Authority (APS) will host an online technical lecture on September 29th, at 2:30 PM, on "Control and monitoring of terrestrial mollusks in the urban-port environment."

These terrestrial mollusks are popularly known as snails and slugs. The event will cover topics such as: species biology, consequences of infestation, legislation, prevention and control measures, and is open to the public. The presentation will be given by biologist Anderson Aranha.

The event aims to promote awareness about the importance of mollusk control in the port environment, provide training with updated information and effective practices, and present control strategies and tools.

It also intends to strengthen the partnership between APS, terminals, and other port authorities, and encourage dialogue to continuously improve prevention and monitoring actions.
