Andean Community goods exports, comprising Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru, grew by 11.5%, rising from $168.083 billion in 2024 to $187.461 billion in 2025, with China as the main destination market, accounting for 22.1% of the total.
"These results are mainly explained by the growth in exports from the Andean countries, especially Peru and Ecuador," highlighted the General Secretariat of the Andean Community.
It also detailed that during the analyzed period, Bolivia exported $9.633 billion, Colombia $50.205 billion, Ecuador $37.152 billion, and Peru $90.472 billion.
The main products exported by the Andean Community to the world were copper ores, gold, petroleum oils, coffee, cocoa, and fresh bananas.
Regarding the Andean bloc's destination markets, China consolidated its position as the main destination for sales from the Andean subregion, receiving 22.1% of the total, followed by the United States (17.3%), the European Union (13.2%), Panama (5.6%), and the Andean Community (5.3%).
On the other hand, merchandise imports by Andean countries reached $177.420 billion, representing a 10.1% growth compared to 2024.
Thus, the Andean Community recorded a trade surplus for the second consecutive year, with a favorable balance of $10.041 billion.
The General Secretariat of the Andean Community emphasizes that this positive balance is the result of the boost in exports from Andean countries to the global market.
Exports within the Andean Community also showed favorable development during 2025, reporting an 8% growth, increasing from $9.109 billion in 2024 to $9.842 billion.
Peru stood out as the country with the largest expansion in its intra-community sales, with a positive variation of 14.4%.
The Secretary General of the Andean Community, Ambassador Gonzalo Gutiérrez, highlighted the foreign trade results of the subregion, both in exports to the world and among Member Countries. He stated that the figures confirm that trade is one of the main drivers of Andean integration.
"The Free Trade Zone allows Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru to exchange their products without paying tariffs, generating opportunities for companies and strengthening production chains," emphasized the head of the Andean Community.
"These results demonstrate the importance of continuing to strengthen the Andean market, which generates concrete benefits for our more than 116 million citizens," he added.
In 2025, 83.1% of intra-community exports corresponded to manufactured products, characterized by incorporating higher added value and contributing to job creation.
In contrast, in exports from Andean countries to markets outside the Andean Community, manufactured products accounted for 48.4% of the total.
This difference highlights the importance of the Andean market for value-added manufactured exports from Member Countries.
The export of manufactured goods in the Andean subregion has a sustained growth trajectory.
Over the last ten years, intra-community exports of these products increased at an average annual rate of 3.4%, rising from $6.041 billion in 2016 to $8.179 billion in 2025. This can be seen by reviewing the figures by country.
