The Empresa Portuaria Antofagasta will convene companies and professionals from the sector for a technical exhibition on the dredging project tender. The activity will take place on Monday, September 21, 2026, at the Pullman Santiago Vitacura hotel, located at Av. Vitacura 3201.
The meeting will provide information on the background of Public Proposal N°019/26 – Second Call. This call is made after the previous process was declared void. The exhibition in the Vitacura commune complements regional dissemination and seeks to bring information about the process closer to specialized companies and potential bidders from different parts of the country.
The project includes dredging work in areas of the dock and the port's access channel.
"Antofagasta needs port infrastructure that matches its productive weight and its projection towards international markets. Our Master Plan integrates the expansion of the breakwater, the development of La Negra, and the modernization of Portezuelo to consolidate the region as a logistics hub. The dredging project allows us to advance this vision, improving the operating conditions of the port front. The exhibitions in Antofagasta and Santiago have a concrete purpose: to attract the experience and technical capacity necessary to materialize this investment in the region," said the General Manager of Puerto Antofagasta, Carlos Escobar Olguín.
Next steps
Puerto Antofagasta will open a second round of consultations between September 24 and 30 and will respond between October 1 and 7, according to the schedule informed in Clarification N°1.
The port company will receive and open technical offers on October 20. The opening of economic offers will take place on October 27, 2026. Technical and administrative inquiries must be channeled through the official channels established in the project's terms and conditions.
