Fire Extinguished Aboard Norwegian Chemical Tanker Near Fredrikstad

A fire aboard the 9,500-dwt chemical tanker Bergstraum was extinguished on July 28 after an apparent explosion triggered a large-scale emergency response off Norway's southeast coast near Fredrikstad. All 15 crew members were safely accounted for with no injuries or pollution reported.
