Bab el-Mandeb traffic drops to lowest in months after Houthi attack on Saudi oil

Ship traffic through Bab el-Mandeb fell to eleven commodity vessels on Sunday, the lowest level in months, following Yemeni Houthi attacks on Saudi oil installations along the Red Sea coast. Shipping data from Kpler showed that transit through the Strait of Hormuz remained low over the weekend, with fewer than 10 commodity vessels passing daily. The disruptions reflect escalating tensions in the region as Tehran-aligned Houthis seek to blockade Saudi exports.
