Onego Otra refloated after month-long grounding in St. Lawrence River

The cargo vessel Onego Otra, grounded in the St. Lawrence River since 30 June, was successfully refloated on 26 July after approximately four weeks. The vessel had departed Montreal on 20 June with grain cargo but veered off course due to a rudder problem. After initial failed attempts, around 2,270 tons of cargo were removed on 12 July, followed by an additional 2,400 tons, enabling the successful refloating operation. The Canadian Coast Guard reported no pollution or crew injuries.
