Panama Canal Improves Water Balance Amid El Niño Watch
The Panama Canal reports a favorable water balance with 416 million cubic meters of water entering and 245 million used by September 24, resulting in a positive balance of 171 million cubic meters. The Authority operates with 32 daily transits and a draft of 48 feet, maintaining water consumption reduction measures. The coming weeks will be crucial before mid-November, when a more demanding period for the water system is anticipated.
