Peel Ports Group has appointed Jamie Strain as the new Port Director in Scotland. He will lead the company's Peel Ports Clydeport division, overseeing its main facilities in Scottish territory, including the Hunterston Parc complex in Ayrshire, the KGV Dock in Glasgow, and the Port of Greenock, including the nearby Inchgreen marine park.
Jamie was the general manager of one of Amazon's largest distribution centers in Great Britain, located in Dunfermline. It was a warehouse the size of 17 football pitches with four miles of conveyor belts and over 3,000 employees.
Strain stated, "I am proud to join Peel Ports and have the opportunity to lead the Peel Ports Clydeport business at such an exciting time. From my initial conversations with the company, I was truly impressed by its people and culture, and also attracted by the opportunity to help develop and grow the business."
"Having dedicated much of my career to leading large teams and complex operations, I am looking forward to bringing that experience here, while also supporting our people to develop their skills and become the best leaders they can be," the new executive said.

His experience and knowledge make him the ideal person for this role as we prepare to further expand the business here in Scotland."
