TCP, the company that manages the Paranaguá Container Terminal, organized a special program this Wednesday (16) to celebrate Truck Driver's Day. The event took place in the classification yard (pre-gate), an area where drivers await authorization and inspection of containers before entering the terminal, which registers an average daily flow of 1,300 truck drivers.
The initiative, which ran from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., offered free services directly focused on the quality of life and routine of drivers. Those who passed through the area had access to haircut and beard services, as well as quick health checks, such as blood pressure measurement and blood glucose tests. This year, the initiative also featured a stand distributing free popcorn, in addition to giving away gifts and informative brochures focused on good road safety practices.
The event also featured a dialogue with truck drivers on the topic of the "Na Mão Certa" project, by Childhood Brasil, which seeks to mobilize the transport sector in the fight against the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents on Brazilian roads, an initiative that TCP became part of in August of this year.
"We know that the routine on the roads is challenging, and the Terminal's role goes beyond ensuring efficient operation. We also want to welcome those who make everything work and, for this reason, this year's initiative reinforces TCP's continuous commitment to the comprehensive appreciation of truck drivers, combining health care and driver well-being with a preventive emphasis on road safety," highlighted Kayo Zaiats, TCP's superintendent of health, occupational safety, and environment.
Technology also played a prominent role in the event thanks to the initiative of TCP's Customer Service Center (CAC) team, which guided drivers on the functionalities and use of the TCP GO application, a tool developed to streamline the scheduling of truck entries and exits, significantly reducing waiting times at the access gate and eliminating the need for paper and physical documents in part of the access process.
"The adoption of TCP GO allows optimizing the flow of trucks, establishing a direct communication channel with drivers, and improving the customer experience at the terminal. This initiative makes processes more efficient, with a constant focus on increasing the satisfaction of our partners," highlighted TCP's commercial manager, Fabio Mattos.
