Mark Ittel, Bermello Ajamil ports planner, dies at 62

Mark Ittel, a highly regarded cruise destination planning expert who led the ports & maritime group at Bermello Ajamil & Partners, died Sunday night at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Tennessee. He was 62. Over several years, Ittel fought an aggressive form of lymphoma while continuing to work. He joined Miami-based BA 26 years ago and rose to partner and SVP ports & maritime, working on significant cruise projects from South Florida to Singapore, Halifax to Hong Kong, and Denmark to India.
