Brazil: APS Launches Tender for Concession of Hydroelectric Plant in Port of Santos
The Port Authority of Santos (APS) has published the tender for the concession of the Itatinga hydroelectric plant, with estimated investments of R$ 200 million. The project includes modernizing the facility, increasing its capacity from 15 MW to 18 MW, revitalizing 61 homes in Itatinga, and integrating green hydrogen production. The contract will be valid for 20 years with a minimum consideration of 3% of gross revenue. The submission of proposals is scheduled for August 11, 2026, and the public session for August 17, 2026.
