Iquique Exceeds 2 Million Tons in 2026 with Sustained Growth
The Port of Iquique reached 2,054,576 tons between January and July 2026, registering a 3% increase compared to the same period in 2025, according to Empresa Portuaria Iquique (EPI). Containerized cargo grew by 6%, from 245,845 to 260,375 TEU. General Manager Rubén Castro highlighted that these results demonstrate the port's operational solidity as a competitive logistics platform for northern Chile and neighboring countries.
