CMA CGM and Capital Clean Energy Carriers Form JV for LNG Bunker Vessel
CMA CGM and Capital Clean Energy Carriers formed a 50-50 joint venture to construct, charter, and operate a 20,000 cbm dual-fuel LNG bunkering vessel. The shipbuilding contract with Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering Co. is valued at $82.8 million, with delivery expected in the third quarter of 2028. The vessel will feature advanced emissions reduction systems and efficient dual-fuel power generation, and will be chartered for 12 years by a joint venture between CMA CGM and TotalEnergies.
