Container Transport in the Persian Gulf Shows Recovery After Conflict
Three container ships operated by Global Feeder Shipping (GFS) entered the Persian Gulf between June 26 and 28, marking the first feeder services with links to Maersk, Hapag-Lloyd, and MSC since the start of the conflict. The GFS Genesis (4350 TEU), GFS Precious (3,534 TEU), and GFS Jade (2452 TEU) came from ports in India, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan. This activity could reconnect regional trade routes with the Persian Gulf, although large-scale transport has not yet normalized.
