Port of La Guaira Sets Up Improvised Morgue After Earthquakes in Venezuela
A section of the Port of La Guaira was established as an improvised morgue to receive victims of the 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude earthquakes recorded in Venezuela on June 24. The tremors caused 2,295 deaths and more than 11,000 injuries. According to the UN, the number of missing persons could reach 50,000, which is why the organization announced the supply of 10,000 body bags.
