AIDA Cruises Tests Digital Check-in System at Hamburg Terminal

AIDA Cruises conducted a digital passenger check-in trial at Cruise Terminal Hamburg-Steinwerder for the AIDAprima cruise ship. The system uses 20 terminals with identity verification via documents and biometric facial identification. Developed in collaboration with Lufthansa Industry Solutions over two years, the boarding pass is RFID-encoded and functions as a payment method and cabin key onboard.
