Wallenius Installs Oceanbird Sails on Way Forward Vessel

Wallenius has ordered two wing sails from Oceanbird for installation on the MV Way Forward in 2027, marking the company's first commercial use of wind-assisted propulsion. The vessel, which already holds the highest CII A rating, will combine this technology with its DualFuel system to improve energy efficiency. The initiative will generate valuable operational data on wind propulsion in commercial service.
