Peru and Hong Kong Activate Free Trade Agreement Starting September 2026

As of September 1, 2026, the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between Peru and Hong Kong came into effect, expanding Peru's trade network to 25 agreements with 59 countries. The FTA covers goods, financial services, and intellectual property protection. In 2025, Peruvian exports to Hong Kong reached 237.8 million dollars, with 59.73% being non-traditional products driven by the agricultural sector.
