Chile Begins FTA Negotiations with Bangladesh After Bilateral Agreement

Chile and Bangladesh have agreed to initiate negotiations for a Free Trade Agreement, as reported by the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Bilateral trade reached USD 310.6 million in 2025, with Chilean exports at USD 41.8 million (a 2.2% increase) and imports at USD 268.8 million (a 19.3% increase). Bangladesh, with 177 million inhabitants, represents a market of growing interest for the diversification of national exports.
