Peru: 12.5% US Tariff Excludes Over 2,000 Products

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur) reported that the additional 12.5% tariff imposed by the United States on Peru under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974 establishes exclusions for over 2,000 products, which represented 45% of the value of US imports from Peru. The measure came into effect on July 24 and affects 60 economies. Mincetur seeks to promote a review of the measure based on regulatory advancements and technical information.
