Bulk Carrier Minoan Dignity Attacked in Strait of Hormuz, One Crew Member Killed
The Liberian-flagged bulk carrier Minoan Dignity was struck by an unknown projectile on 18 August while transiting the Strait of Hormuz at approximately 01:35 UTC. The attack caused damage in the engine-room area, resulting in the death of the vessel's chief engineer. The 2004-built vessel, measuring 225 meters in length and 32.2 meters in width, is registered to Asante Management Co and managed by Modion Maritime Management. The Omani Coast Guard assisted in rescuing the remaining crew, with no pollution reported.
