MB Energy conducts methanol bunkering trial on TUI's Mein Schiff 7 in Kiel
MB Energy successfully completed a methanol bunkering trial aboard TUI Cruises' Mein Schiff 7 at the Ostseekai Cruise Terminal in the Port of Kiel, Germany. Approximately 25 cubic metres of methanol produced from renewable feedstocks were delivered to the cruise ship for use in its onboard boiler systems. The operation, managed by logistics partner Johs. Martens with a delivery truck powered by HVO 100, demonstrated the operational feasibility of supplying lower-carbon fuel to large passenger vessels under normal port conditions.
