Maersk revises payer amendment fee calculation method effective October 2026

Maersk announced changes to its Payer Amendment Fee – Destination (PAD) effective 8 October 2026. The amendment window calculation will shift from Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) to the first collect/import and Demurrage/Storage & Detention invoice generation date. Requests received after the applicable threshold will incur the PAD fee, applied based on cargo destination country. Customers can verify their permissible amendment window via Maersk Hub.
