1,300 km West-East Highway to Strengthen Lobito Corridor in Angola
Authorities from the Port of Lobito participated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between INEA (Angola's National Road Institute) and GAV Construções for the development of studies and projects for the West-East Highway. With a length of 1,300 kilometers, this road infrastructure will integrate the Lobito Corridor, traversing the provinces of Benguela, Huambo, Bié, and Moxico up to the border with the Republic of Zambia. The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Celso Rosas, highlighted that this highway will complement the Corridor's railway line, being vital for goods transport and national economic diversification.
