More Than 20 Million Barrels Leave Iran as Post-War Oil Trade Reawakens
Iran shipped 11 tankers carrying 20 million barrels of oil from the port of Chabahar this week, following an interim peace deal with Washington signed Wednesday. The US military had previously blocked these vessels from accessing the Indian Ocean as part of efforts to restrict Tehran's petrodollar revenues. Most Iranian oil is destined for China, marking a significant shift in post-war trade dynamics.
